Paneer Paratha Ingredients

For Dough

  • Diabexy Atta1 cup (120g)
  • Salt½ tsp
  • Turmeric powder (Haldi)¼ tsp
  • Ajwain (caraway seeds)1 tsp
  • Sesame seeds (Til)1 tsp
  • Chopped corianderA little bit
  • WaterAs needed

For Filling

  • Paneer100g
  • Salt½ tsp
  • Turmeric powder (Haldi)¼ tsp
  • Pepper powder (Kali mirch)½ tsp
  • Cumin powder (Jeera powder)½ tsp
  • Red chilli powder1 tsp

Punjabi Paneer Paratha Recipe: Step-by-Step Guide

To make paneer paratha you must have all the ingredients mentioned above. Now follow the guidelines carefully.

Take Diabexy Atta

Take 1 cup of Diabexy Atta (120g) in a bowl.

Add dry spices to atta

Add ½ tsp salt, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp ajwain, and 1 tsp sesame seeds to the atta.

Add coriander and mix

Add a little bit of chopped coriander and mix all ingredients very gently.

Make the dough

Add water gradually (1 cup atta needs 3-4 cups water) and knead into a soft dough. Cover with a clean cloth and rest for 10-15 minutes.

Prepare paneer filling

Grate the paneer first.

Add 1 tsp red chilli powder, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp pepper powder, ½ tsp salt, and ½ tsp cumin powder. Mix them properly.

Roll the dough

Take a small portion of dough like we use for regular roti and roll it into a small circle.

Place a portion of the paneer mixture in the center of the rolled dough.

Seal and roll again

Fold and close all the edges of the roll, then roll it out again to make a perfect round-shaped paratha.

Cook the paratha

Cook on medium flame. After 30-40 seconds, flip it when bubbles start forming.

Apply ghee and serve

Apply desi ghee as per your taste on both sides. Your paneer paratha is ready!
