It might be tempting to cheat a little, but it's important to not overdo it. For people who have had diabetes for a long time, sticking to a disciplined routine is crucial.
Once your body is under control, you can allow yourself some flexibility. For instance, if you have three meals a day, with two at home and one at a party, you know you need to keep your glycemic load under 25. You can control your home meals and enjoy yourself at the party, but not every day. During the program, it's essential to follow the diet plan to get the best results.”
